I know I'm late to the party, but isn't the rule basically that multiple ships effectively slaved to one set of controls, by whatever method, so that they all operate in parallel, is against the rules?

3. Announcement:Update regarding Multiboxing and input automation - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
By the way, out of curiosity, what's the difference between Input Broadcasting and Input Multiplexing? (I ask as someone who'd be more likely to use ISBoxer to store frozen veggies than to slave multiple ships to one controller.)

4. Announcement:Update regarding Multiboxing and input automation - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Seems clear enough: slaving multiple ships to one set of controls is going to be a violation as of New Year's Day. And since CCP can presumably access input logs, and determine how well synchronized a group of ships is, they can make a reasonably ...

5. Moving from Caldari system to Gallente - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Haven't you heard? You're a capsuleer, an immortal post-human cybernetic demi-god, and the empires are nothing to you and your kind. :) But seriously, like they say above, your standing to a faction has to drop pretty drastically before they get ...

6. What kind of mining set up should I use? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I'd say that if you're going to mine, keep at least one eye on the screen, and if you have to go AFK, either dock up, or find a safe and logout until you can come back. Barring some ISBoxer rolling through with a bunch of zombie barges, the rocks ...

If you've ever dropped a bounty on a character before realizing you'd bought that character in the Bazaar ... you just might be a bittervet.

10. Announcement:A Reminder Regarding Real Life Harassment - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Wheaton's Law, people. It's four words. "Don't be a ****." It's not difficult to understand, and it's not that high a bar to clear, either. I keep saying this, but if CCP is forced to actually make a binding definition in that regard, it's probab...

11. Announcement:A Reminder Regarding Real Life Harassment - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
After much pondering, there's at least one common-sense test that can be applied: Wheaton's Law. The Law itself is only four words, but the legislative notes, as it were, provide sufficient evidence of its spirit: Wil Wheaton wrote: Arcades w...

13. Announcement:A Reminder Regarding Real Life Harassment - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Technically, it is possible to paint a bright line and say "do not cross". Navies do it with their submarines; in fact, they paint several lines. There's "test depth", below which a submarine is never supposed to pass except in emergency or wa...

14. Did I Miss The Part Where It Said I Can't Do This? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Note that if you log a character off, it'll warp away to a (relatively) safe spot and disappear, so long as you don't have an engagement timer active. If you log out with an engagement timer running, the character will sit still and twiddle its th...

16. Orca tank fit or cargo fit? (Hi-sec) - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
If you're having trouble making the cloak/MWD trick work, try cranking up your Acceleration Control skill if you've only got one or two levels in it. That'll give you a good raw boost to your MWD speed, which might be enough to overcome the decele...

17. Orca tank fit or cargo fit? (Hi-sec) - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
There are actually some possible variations on Tippia's Orca fit, depending on what sort of trouble you might be expecting. Whatever you do, the Large ACR, the Reinforced Bulkheads, and the Damage Control are the keys to a sturdy utility Orca. S...

18. PVP: RNE or Golem - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Assuming I had a proper fleet backing me up , I'd choose the RNI (I assume that's what the OP meant by "RNE"). It'll hit smaller ships harder thanks to the new bonuses, it's about 400 million cheaper, it's got a stronger sensor strength so it's n...

19. Exploiting Jita population cap to avoid war dec needs to be punished. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
So long as Jita's slamming into its population cap, the camp-the-undock tactic has an unavoidable massive hole. The OP's targets have a way to deny the aggressors easy kills; of course they're going to take advantage of it. Also, the OP is near...

20. Exploiting Jita population cap to avoid war dec needs to be punished. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
It occurs to me that there's a strategic flaw in a plan that is absolutely dependent on the predators' targets being bottled up in the Jita trade hub with no way to leave except to undock under the predators' guns. Namely: there's more than one w...
